About Seoulvanie
Seoulvanie is an editorial site that looks at Korean skincare through data from Korea: what Korean shoppers buy at Olive Young, how they rate products on Hwahae, what the Korean ingredient list says, and whether the version sold in your country is the same one. We are based in Seoul.
Four languages, written separately
We publish in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese (for Taiwan) and Spanish. Each language is written for its own readers, with that market's stores and prices where we have them. The pages are not translations of one another, so the US stores on an English page and the Japanese stores on a Japanese page can differ.
Why the byline says "Seoulvanie Editorial"
Our articles are signed by Seoulvanie Editorial, the team name. We don't publish under individual names, and we never present a page as one person's experience with a product. The facts on each page come from the records it lists in its sources, not from anyone's personal use.
What we cover
- What Koreans Actually Buy: rankings and roundups built on Olive Young Korea data.
- Korea-Only Finds: products we couldn't match to a confirmed official seller in the US, and Korean versus overseas formulas.
- Head-to-Head: product comparisons, one pick per reader situation.
- Seoul Price vs Yours: Seoul prices against US stores, where to buy and Olive Young sale dates.
How we work
Our methods are on How We Test, our rules on Editorial policy and how store links work on Affiliate disclosure. To reach us, see Contact.
